Can an internet loan company that you never accepted a loan from come after you for triple the amount that you originally applied for?

NOTE: This communication is not intended as and should not be interpreted as legal advice. Rather, it is intended solely as a general discussion of legal principles. You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. By reading the "Response" to your question or comment, you agree that the opinion expressed is not intended to, nor does it, create any attorney-client relationship, nor does it constitute legal advice to any person reviewing such information, nor will it be considered an attorney-client privileged communication. If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.
If you never borrowed any money or signed any loan instruments, they would have a very tough time to "come after you" for anything. Of course, if you signed some documentation that agreed to pay them a fee or something like that, the answer might be different upon review of the paperwork.

Re: Internet Loans
It would not seem so. If you never accepted a loan, unless your application gives the lender some rights it is unlikely. You might want to consult with an attorney and show the documents. If you would like to consult with my office, please feel free to call my office.
