lawsuit
my husband is being sued in Chicago (jurisdiction in florida). the case is registered in the court. if there is no lien on the house yet, if i buy the house from us and put it in my name only - can a lien still be put on the house because this re-purchase is after the fact?

A transfer of property to avoid potential crediors can be considered fraudulent and set aside.

The facts you set forth do not make sense. Your husband would not be sued in Chicago with jurisdiction in Florida. That is a contradictory statement.
I strongly suggest that you meet with a local attorney who can review the actual facts and advise you and your husband of your legal rights and obligations.

Yes, the Court would look into whether it was a fraudulent conveyance. This is not a wise way to proceed. Consult with an attorney.
