Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
How long can a credit card collections company try to collect
Is there a time limit on collections and can they touch my home or car? I am a senior citizen (63) and live by myself in a mobile home on small, owned lot and have 1 car.

Debts are owed until they are paid. Your home is protected by Florida homestead provisions from the taking by a creditor. Your car is not fully protected.
You should try to make arrangements to repay your debt. If not, then if the amount of the debt is substantial, you should consider bankruptcy.

Time limit for what? To sue or collect?
Your home is protected , your car is not.
