Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I received a summons to appear in court for a defaulted credit card. If I take no action, can they garnish my wages and when will the judgement come off my credit report?

Ignoring law suits is simply bad practice- VERY BAD. All sorts of "horribles", mistaken and otherwise, can occur. If you cannot afford legal counsel contact your County's Legal Assistance organizations.
Who is going to insure that a final judgment is not "accidentally" in an amount 10 times more than what you might otherwise owe? What will happen if your employer is deposed in your case. Does that bode well for your career?
Judges are overwhelmed with work in the current financial climate. They can't protect your interests when you won't.
You have 20 days from service of the Complaint to file an Answer. I strongly encourage you consult with an attorney immediately to have this done. Failure to file an Answer will result in a Default Judgment against you (meaning you lose). To enforce the judgement, the other party can proceed with putting liens on your property, garnishing wages, etc.
