Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Student Loan - Foreign wage Garnishment

Allied Intersate is threatening to garnish my wages to pay for a defaulted student loan. I live in a Chile and am a citizen of that country. My employer is incorporated in Chile and subject to the local laws. However, my employer is a subsidiary of a large U.S. corporation. I am not a U.S. resident or citizen and am not employed by the U.S. headquarters. Chilean law won't allow wage garnishment without a court order and it is very unlikely they could get one here. Is there any way they could force corporate headquarters in the U.S. to garnish my wages here? How much information can the collection agency share with my corporate headquarters, considering I'm not technically on their payroll?
