Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I am being sued, have been served a summons, but no final judgement has been issued. I am disabled and recieve SSDI, and our vehicle (value approximately 1500 with a small lien against it) is jouitly owned with spouse. when and how would I file affidavit for exemption of personal property?

When you get a paper from the court subpoinaing your testimony, you must testify. You can answer questions, but you probably shouldn't.

When a judgment is entered and the party seeks to garnish your wages or assets, you will recieve an affidavit of exemption. see www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com under garnishment to understand the law.
