can a law firm in the state of colorado garnish your wages for a judgement on an auto loan without going through the state of florida and just go through your employer. There was no notification of the garnishment before the employer received it.

They would have to take any Colorado judgment and get it filed in Florida. If they didn't do that, you should contact counsel and fight the garnishment. If you would like to contact my office, please call me.

No. There can be no garnishment unless a judgment has been obtained. It might have originally been entered in Colorado but would have to be domesiticated in a Florida Court. They would then need to file for the writ of garnishment here in Florida which would be entered without notice to you, but can still be contested. You need to immediately consult with a Florida attorney to review your options including the ways to stop a garnishment of your wages.
