Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
After my wife died I couldn't pay my credit cards as all I have is my SSI and a small pension. I have no assets. A law furn bought one of my credit card debts and sent me a letter telling me they will pursue me to collect. I have a little (about $900.00) in my savings account, can the take it?

If they sue you and obtain a judgment, they certainly will try. A court proceeding will decide if you are exempt.Try to work out a small payment schedule to avoid litigation.
