Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Hello, in april, 2001, my then 19 year old daughter was wrongly arrested,allegedly for alluding police, speeding and aggravated assault on a police officer with a vehicle. The result was no conviction, community service and 1st time youth offender, adjudication withheld. How do I get her record expunged as we were advised that we would be able to do in 7 to 10 years?
We recently went to Miami to get this done and were told that we had to hire a lawyer, needless to say the initial lawyer claims we own him money. But I can't find my paid in full receipt book from 2001.

You cannot get the charge expunged, only sealed.
