Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
The defense layer of a minor has given the mom of the boy, the responsibility of gathering the witnesses herself. Is that how is it supposed to be? This case is in Orlando, Florida.Thank you

A lot depends on the fee agreement. Did you hire the lawyer for legal representation only? Usually a fee agreement will say that investigators are a separate cost. It could be (and I'm just speculating here) that the lawyer is trying to save you money by having the mother do it themselves instead of paying hundreds/thousands of dollars for investigators. To be sure, the mother should talk to the lawyer.
