I was arrested 8-9 years ago for 3rd degree Grand Theft.. I accepted plea adjudication withheld failed my probation served 6 months county in 2003 I want to know if I can still become a registered nurse

This is something which you will most certainly need to explain to the Nursing Board. Grand theft is a crime of dishonesty which I am sure they will treat very seriously. That said, you might be given an opportunity to explain and defend yourself in a hearing during which you are entitled to be represented by a lawyer.

Talk to the Board to see what your chances are.
