Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
On a felony crime with a jury trial and you are found not guilty can you have the record expunged. Also in the state of Florida what kind of cost and time would we be talking about to do this? Scumcoast

Generally yes it can be expunged, provided that there is no other criminal history/prior applications to seal or expunge. There is a $75 application fee for a certificate of eligibility to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. You'll also need certified copies of the case disposition and fingerprints to accompany your application. If and when you get the certificate of eligibility then you need to file a petition with the court. Of course, the attorney's fee to assist you with the expunction varies.
