Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
My mom was been charged for aggravated assault with a weapon without any intent to kill. The victim is willing to go and file paperworks saying he has no intention to press charges. He has no cuts or bruise. What do you guy think will happen? Would the case be thrown out or do I need to get a lawyer?

Yes your mom needs a lawyer. What the victim wants matters little. The prosecutor, not the victim, decides on whether to file charges. Your mother may be looking at mandatory prison time so she doesn't want to go cheap with what she is facing.
