Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Today I found out that my step brother created a Paypal account in my name and listed items that he did not have on a car enthusiast website and completed a "sale" to a guy in Canada and one to a guy in North Carolina. I found this out because he got my password for the website and was posting as if he were me. The totals for each "sale" was about $200 but totalled less then $450. I want to know if I don't take legal actions against him, what is the worst that can happen to me. I have contacted both people but they think I am lying. I have advised them to file a dispute with Paypal and if they didn't get there money back I would make payments to cover the fees. Can I be charged with fraud? I need to know what to do! Thanks!

You can get arrested for his actions because it won't be obvious to authorities that it is not you. Even if you don't get arrested, you will suffer the effects of identity theft which includes cancelled accounts, cards, ruined credit. As much as you may not want to report your brother, you need to before it gets worse. Good luck.
