Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Florida

Circumstancial expiration of drivers liscense

I am not a citizen. I am in the process fo being naturalized. I got my fla state drivers lisences,in 2002 then in 2003 i was mugged and my personal belongings were taken wallet with liscense and all. I went to the dmv to get a duplicate the only id i had was a work permit that was about to expire. The dmv reset my expiration date to that of the work permit and now they are both expired. I have not recieved my replacement work permit as yet and now I am unable to renew my liscense. Anything I can do. My liscence was valid until 2008 before i went for a duplicate; and I needed the duplicate because i cant drive without a liscense please help.

Re: Circumstancial expiration of drivers liscense

This is a difficult situation. You must apply for an 'expedited' (faster) replacement of your work permit. That is more essential than I can easily communicate. Make every effort to not fall 'out of status'.
