Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I just sent for a,certified copy of my birth certificate. It came back with my last name different(my mothers maiden name) than the name I grew up with my father's name. Somehow my mother got me into a school with my father's last name. It's the only name I've known. All my whole life has been that name. Now I needed my birth certificate and find out My father was not on BC. And it has me as mothers last name. They were never married. How do I change my birth certificate? I need to renew my drivers license and would like to get a pastport.

You have to file a petition for change of name with the court and get a court order.
