Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Adoption and Relocation issues

I am married with children. My daughter is from a previous relationship. Me and my family are relocating to Florida from New Jersey. The law states that I have to notify my daughters father that I am leaving the state of New Jersey. My husband would like to adopt my daughter in Florida. My question is: If I leave the state of New Jersey without notifying my daughters father, will the state of Florida still allow my husband to adopt my daughter? What does Florida law state?

Re: Adoption and Relocation issues

If you leave the state with your child without the father's consent you may be forced to return the child to New Jersey,if the father seeks it.

Adoption requires either the father's consent or a finding by the court that the father by long term failure lack of contact with the child and failure to perform parental obligations has abandoned the father's parental rights.

You should call me to make an appointment for a consultation because there is a lot more to your situation than I wish to type.
