Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My brother met a woman from Japan in the Caribbean. After knowing each other for a of couple days they flew to Florida (his primary residence) and were married. Immediately after the marriage she left. It appears she married to obtain citizenship for her grown son to enroll in college in the states. He has been trying to locate her for almost two years. He heard she was back in Japan. He desires to annul or divorce this marriage. There is no communal property and they never resided together. How does he dissolve this marriage?

contact an immigration divorce lawyer. Why would anyone wait for so long?
An annualment is very difficult in Florida and may not exist pursuant to Chapter 61. If Husband is a legitimate resident of Florida he may request a DOM and serve her by publication. No property may be divided, just a DOM ordered.
