child custody

my daughter in law tried to commit sucide before she became pregnant with my grandchild. They were not married at the time. She and my son are now divorcing can my son use this information in a custody case if the need arises??

Yes. The standard the judge uses in determining custody is the "best interest of the child." This is a broad standard. Your daughter in law's suicide attempt may be relevant to your grandchild's best interest.
