me and my ex have a daughter together we never married relationship just didnt work out theres no court order but my question is without a court order when he picks her up for visitation does he have the right to bring her back what can i do if he decides to keep her and not return her? i just found out he filed papers for shared custody so i went to a different county and filed papers as well is that illegal should i cancel them since he already filed what happens if he doesnt return her until the court hearing will he have to return her then?

Without an agreement or Court order each of you is free to do what you think lis best for the child.
You can't have active litigation going in two separate counties. One or the other cases has to be dismissed, or transferred.
If you opt to proceed without the assistance of counsel, be aware that you will not be entitled to a �do over� if things go badly.
