Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My daughter's father (whom I was never maried to) has not seen her or even attempted to have any contact with her in a year has just recently filed for 50/50 custody and visitation rights. I have to go for a deposition next week with his lawyer. What type of questions can I expect and what type of documentation should I have prepared to bring with me? He abandoned us a year ago when we were living together, leaving my daughter and I in a house with no furniture, no money, etc.

Please get an attorney. This is a no win situation. YOu are the primary custody parent - you were never married to him. Did you ever file for support? ARe there any papers in the court that prove that he is the father - ie paternity suit etc. did you put his name on the birth certificate? Was he getting visitation rights before. Any thing you answer to those questions will create a problem for you. Run to an attorney - you are going to need one.
