Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I have been divorced for 2 years. My ex-wife and I have shared custody. She has them on school days, while I have them on weekends, holidays, and all vacations. We are unable to claim child support alimony or anything of the sort from one another and are suppose to each claim one child on income taxes. She is wanting to make changes to the divorce if I do not allow her to claim both children. I feel like this is essentially signing away my rights. She plans on serving me the papers to take it in front of a judge to have this changed so she can. My question is, should I continue to not allow her, and how likely is this to be looked on against me?

It depends on her reasoning and how it will affect you financially.

In most cases when there is more than one child, depending on income, the judge will have each parent claim a child - the oldest to the bio dad and the youngest to the bio mom.

You will be fine. If I can be of assistance, please contact my office for an appointment. (904-997-1031)
