Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My ex-husband and I live in Central Florida and after 4 years of being divorced, I'm relocating to South Florida with my 8 year old daughter, while my 16 year old daughter wants to stay with her dad to finish High School. My ex and I have to revise our Child Support now that each will permanently stay with one daughter, but since we're both short on cash, we wanted to know if there's a website were we could enter the details on a chart and get an approximate amount of what our Child Support numbers should be. Thank you for your help!

Yes and no. There are websites that will calculate Florida child support for you, but there are none that will do child support where one parent has one child and one has the other child. You actually have to do two sets of child support guidelines and subtract the difference. Plus, there is some moving paperwork you have to do pursuant to Florida Statute 61.13001. It's probably worth it to have a lawyer do up some quick paperwork for you. It shouldn't cost much, and it all has to be submitted to the divorce court. It should be easy for a family law attorney.
