Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Giving up join Custody Rights

I would like to know what legal forms I do need to file for giving up my join custody rights. I want to give full custody to my ex.

There is a court order that state that I suppose to see them every other weekend... I have been follow this order as much as I can, because of my constant traveling sometimes I can't. However, for the past 5 years we has been together every Xmas, every Thanksgiving, and Birthdays....

Her constant threats and insults to my family has make the whole situation not workable. The time with the kids has become just a stressful situation for everybody. All they do is cry when they are with me.

I just want to continue with my financial obligation. What steps I need to follow in order to get this done.

Can she continue forcing/imposing me to see them? All those years I have been seeing them in an imposed manner and not in a natural way/wish. Cannot plan, can't prepare anything or have any ideas with them because of her constant threats of taking me to court.

Any advice/words on how to keep seeing them on my own terms and NOT when she wants/impose to or a court order dictated? I would like to know how to proceed.

Re: Giving up join Custody Rights

What exactly is she threatening you with? You should be able to see your kids and not worry about your ex. You should do a motion to modify the custody agreement, and set forth what you've said above. You need to get her in front of the court.

Good luck!
