Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex husband has only asked to have a visit with my son 2 times he is now 9 yr old.

The last time was 2 yrs ago. He now has contacted me threatening me to take me to court for him. He is in the military and makes no effort to speak to him or anything. I have a court order against him from Mass. but now live in Florida. He will be on leave in couple weeks and says he will take care of everything when he gets back. My current husband wants to adopt him but he will not allow it. What can I do?

You fist need to domesticate the order from Massachusetts. This will allow you the ability to enforce here in the Florida courts. Secondly the state does allow for step parent adoptions. You have to prove abandonment, neglect, etc. Unless the parent agrees which from the looks of things he does not. You may want to fins a local attorney in your area things may get nasty.
