Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

if no income, still need to pay child support?

My wife has a daughter from her previous marriage and she was ordered to pay child support. In the meantime we got a baby and now she's been a housewife for the past two years. She has no income. Still she has to pay child support? The monthly rate for child support was based on her and her ex-husband salaries at thet point in time.

Does she need to file for modification of child support?

Thank you so much for your help.

Yes, she needs to file a Petition for Modification, based on a change of circumstances, in the Superior Court of the county of her ex's residence.
