Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have lived with my girlfriend for almost 10 years, we have 2 children. I purchased a home about 2 years ago, that is in my name only. I would like to know if she would be legally entitled to half of this home? We live in Florida

Maybe, but probably not. She could make a claim that she has a legal interest if you two have been combining incomes and using joint money to pay the mortgage, utilities, upkeep, improvements, etc. And, even though the house is in your name, she could make a claim that if any of her money was used, she has a legal interest in your house. She may not prevail on these claims, but it can get expensive to prove her wrong.
