Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am married 24yrs, i live in Fl. my husband is on a disability pension from NYPD and he gets social security, am I entitled to any of that if we divorce?

if you are 65 or more then you can file on his social security. As to his pension you may be entitled to one half. would have to read the NYPD plan. You should contact a divorce attorney in your area - most consultations are free and find out what you need to know.

If the dissolution is in Florida the court considers cash flow of the parties. The husband is obligated for whatever amount the court orders; you may or may not be able to get direct payment of the NY PD pension.
