Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My question is kind of complicated my brother brought my mom over from germany a few years back and had filled the paper work for her support in the USA however since she has been in the US he hasn't spend much time or money on her and I keep ending up supporting her; can I some how get some money from him, he has stated that since she got her green card he no longer has to support her is that true ?

I have more detail about this I hope family lawyer is the right lawyer or maybe you can recommand what kind of lawyer I need ?

Thanks

The brother signed affidavit of support/contract not with you, but with the US federal government. He is obligated to reimburse to federal or State government in case if she applies for means-tested benefits, welfare, medical, etc. It's not a contract between him and you, or him and his mother.

If your mother is eligible to apply for US citizenship and will naturalize, this affidavit of support will terminate as soon as she becomes a US citizen. As a US citizen, she will be eligible for Medicare, etc.
