Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
witness for the prosecution
if you are a witness for the prosecution in a criminal case of domestic battery, are you allowed to visit the defendant in jail while he waits for his hearing?
Also, would the judge ever find out if this visit occurs, for instance does she get a list of his visitors ?

Nothing prevents witnesses from visiting or talking to defendants, unless there is a specific court order to the contrary.
Judges do not get lists of jail visitors as a matter of course, though they could always ask for the list if they wanted to. I've never seen a judge ask for the list.
