Clinical Depression and Family Leave

My 20 year old son has severe clinical depression and sucicidal tendencies. He is being treated by a phychiatrist. Am I eligible for leave through the Family Leave Act?

Almost certainly, yes. Up to 12 week without pay per 52 week period. Make sure you ask for FMLA leave and fill out the proper paperwork. It does not have to be taken all at once. If you have further questions and desire a consult, please call my office.
