Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

FMLA-military

I am active duty Navy and I was wondering if I am able to use the FMLA for maternity elave. The military only gives you 6 weeks and I want mroe time off with my newborn.

Call the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Dept of Labor (look for the number in the phone book)- they should be able to answer this question. Or, go to www.dol.gov - there may be inof on this on that website under FMLA.
