Re: car accident

I feel sorry for both you and the child's family. I know that you feel terrible as well. However, any statement that you make can be used against you either as evidence of a crime (if prosecution is later deemed appropriate) or as evidence of your fault in the accident. Under the current situation, these are the ONLY people that you should talk to: 1.) Your insurance company - tell them the truth; 2.) an attorney hired by your insurance company to represent you - them then the truth; 3.) an attorney that you hire or consult with - tell them the truth.

The only people that you are required to talk to are the police (by statute) for them to complete the accident report and your insurance company (by your insurance contract).

I assume that when you say you were not at fault you mean that you were not given a ticket. If the police investigators now show up you should not talk to them and immediately talk to a criminal attorney.

I do not know if you were condsidered an employee of the pizza establishment. That establishment may have insurance available to to also provide coverage for this accident. In that case you may want to confer with your insurance company and/or your attorney before talking to them.

Other than those persons listed above, you should not talk to anyone else about the accident.
