Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
Loan Co-signing
I co-signed on a home and auto loan for a relative. Eventually they fell into hard times the car payments got behind, and the home went into foreclosure. Is there any kind of legal action I can take against them to help repair my damaged credit?

No. Unfortunately, once your credit gets damaged, it is damaged until you have the opportunity to rebuild it which can take many years. You may be able to give an explanation about the negative information to a potential creditor in the future but that will not solve your problems nor will filing any action against your relative.

Re: Loan Co-signing
Nope -- you can bring a claim to recover what you paid, but when you cosign a loan you are promising yourself to pay if the other person does not.
Re: Loan Co-signing
You are unable to fix your credit though you may put an explanation on credit reports. You may sue the primary signatory to the loans. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact my office and refer to your Law Guru question.
