Power of Attorney question

My mother in law has lived with me since 1982, recently had a stroke. She gave ME power of attorney on 6-20-09, witnessed by two of her nurses. My brother in law has now had power of attorney paper signed on 7-8-09. Which at this point my mother in law has short term memory loss. Who power of attorney is valid?
