Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Resigning from the Company during a litigation

Is it possible to resign as a partner from a company when there is a litigation currently active? I was not aware of some of the dealing of my other partner and was decieved within several business dealings.

I have been placed within the civil suit as an individual also. I have yet to talk to counsel about this. I just wanted to know if I could resign, since the company is no longer active doind business and remove any future liability if any would exist with ou my knowledge.

You can resign (and you probably should if staying will expose you to future liability), but it probably won't get you dismissed from the lawsuit. You should certainly see a lawyer right away.
