Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
I let my son use my credit card. He ran it up to $7200. He was using my card to buy inventory for an online business. His girlfriend was sending me payments thru Paypal every month for almost a year. I have all credit card statements showing his charges and all Paypal statements and emails showing his girlfriend was making the payments. I felt the balance was getting to high so I called the credit card company and closed the account and had them issue me another card so they couldn't use it anymore. Because I did that they now quit paying stating they do not owe it because it is in my name. Small claims court is up to $5000. Do I have a case for civil court? And if so, do I sue both of them.

You have a claim against your son for the monies he spent. You don't seem to have a claim against his girlfriend notwithstanding the fact that she was paying the bills.
