Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

unkept promises

I have been financially supported by a married man for 28 years. He always promised to marry me when he was free. His wife died over a year ago. He said he never intended to marry me, and that he never expected to outlive her, thus he would never have to tell me. We no longer see one another. I am 67 years old and unable to support myself. Do I have any rights? or did I get my ''just desserts?''

Re: unkept promises

Unless, you shared property or accounts in both your names. You have no rights. It looks like you were very fortunate to have a man that was willing to support a family and you without an obligation to do so for so many years. Several men barely support their own families or children.
