Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
I am from the Bahamas and I came here about 6 years ago as a visitor and I have an I-94. What can i do to become a resident in America?

Unless you are married to a US citizen or petitioned by a US citizen parent (and you are under 21), or petitioned by a US citizen child, or can qualify under VAWA -- there is not much that you can do. To become a permanent resident, typically, an applicant has to be in lawful status and be eligible to apply for a green card. Currently, your status is unlawful and you are deportable if apprehended by the ICE.
