Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

I am a US citizen and I have been dating an African for a few months. I want her to visit the US without the expectation of marrying immediately. If she applies for a B-2 Visa would it help or hurt if I sponsored her being her boyfriend? She has no family in the US. She only wants to visit for 2 months. I would cover her living expenses.

It would only hurt her chances of getting the B-2 visa & admission into the U.S. A person does not need a "sponsor" in order to get a visitor visa. They need to show the intent to return to their home country & ties to that country.

She does not need a sponsor for a B visa. She needs to show sufficient ties to her country and apply for the visa at the consulate in her home country. They will look to see if she has ties such as property, a job, family etc.

You can also decide if you want to visit her there and then afterwards have her come here on a fiancee visa.
