Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

My dad married a lady from the philippines and looks like he is not going to be with us much longer. She has been in the states for 16 months and connot support herself without our help. I signed a affidavite of support but with my father passing there is no way I will help support her. Can she stay in this country?

Yes, she can legally stay in the country. Your responsibilities as a sponsor under the Affidavit of support will not end with the death of her husband. You will remain financially responsible until she becomes a US citizen, dies or permanently leaves the country

If she is a lawful permanent resident, she has right to live in USA permanently.
