Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

detained at Miami airport

hello, my friend arrived yesterday from Italy for a vacation to Miami. he was taken away for questioning, after 6 hours he was allowed to make a quick phonecall, explaning that he is going to be sent back the next day to ITaly and the reason was because he stayed to much here last year. He never stayed longer illegaly, no criminal records. I wasn't able to get in touch with him since. No cell or a hotel to spent the night. What can i do to help? how can i find out anything about his case?

Re: detained at Miami airport

Dear Inquirer:

Your friend was most likely permitted to withdraw his request for admission to the US, but possibly received an order of expedited removal at the airport.

I recommend that you email me at [email protected] or visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com if you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss this matter further.

He will be put on a plane back to Italy. When he reaches Italy, you might be able to talk to him again. Until he departed the USA, it's not likely that you will be able to talk to him. Unfortunately, you cannot help him in this situation.
