Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
i have a grren card my girlfriend dos not.if we get married
1 Answer from Attorneys
If you get married, she will NOT get a green card immediately following the marriage. She might be or might not be able to become a permanent resident in the future (depending on her situation).
As a permanent resident, you can petition for her, and it will take at least a few years for the priority date to become current.
How did she come to USA - on a visa or without a visa? There are many additional issues that you need to discuss with an attorney before planning your course of actions.
I offer confidential telephone or email legal consultations and assist in matters of the U.S. federal immigration law to clients from all 50 States and internationally.
