Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Hello,
I am an immigrant in USA . I just got my permanent residency 1 month ago.
My relatinships with my husband just don't work in the last 2 weeks.
I am really thinking about divorce as he started to raise his hand on me.
But will it make me suspicious in front of immigration as I just got my permanent residency 1 month ago? Or it doesn't matter as they have already checked evrything on me?

If your green card is conditionsl (and you have been married for less than 2 years), then in about 2 years you and your husband jointly wll have to apply to remove conditions from your residence.
If separated or divorced, there could be a problem. It's possible, however, to apply to remove conditions by yourself as a waiver of the joint filing requirement either after divorce or because of domestic violence. In either scenario, you should consult an attorney in advance in order to properly prepare an application.
