Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

Hello!

My mother was trying to bring her father ( my gradfather) to USA. My mother passed away and it appears that he is not falling under any category of Petition for Alien Relative. Is there a process in place that can allow me to submit application to bring my grandather over to USA? I am a permanent resident Alien awaiting on citizenship test ( i will be filing papers shortly). thank you for your time and help!

What exactly was done by your mother? Did she file the petition? Was it approved?

As a grandchild, you can't petition for a grandfather. You need to consult a lawyer and see what can be done about any previously submitted petition, if any.

There is a possibility of humanitarian reinstatement. But it is a tough one. I will advise you to call an immigration lawyer and see if there are any other possibilities. As for you petitioning for your grandfather, there is no provision under the laws to do such a thing, unfortunately.

Good Luck
