Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Hi,
I would like to know what is the best think to do for my case. I was arrested for a petit theft. It was the first time ever. My trial is at the end of december. I am also going to apply for a student visa in US. Do you think my visa can be refuse because of this case. I am waiting for my trial to return in my country (do you think i will be able to go home after and apply for my visa ?). What do you have to do ?
Thank you

Yes, a theft is a crime of moral turpitude, and you can be found inadmissible to USA and denied a visa. It's advisable that you consult a knowledgeable immigration attorney before you plead and go to trial.
