Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

My husband was deported to Haiti in 2005 but is not in jail over there. He has been affected by the earthquake in Haiti and I would like to know how I can maybe have him re entered into the United States. Is it possible to write a letter to the attorney general requesting for him to re enter.

No, writing a letter to Attorney General will not help. He doesn't seem to be eligible for any special treatment (as he was deported already).

The process would be to file a petition for him (provided that you are a USA citizen), and then apply for a visa and possibly two waivers (after deportation and inadmissibility).

Why was he deported? Are you a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident? Otherwise, unless he's eligible for Humanitarian Parole I'm not sure how he may enter temporarily.
