Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
My mother overstayed her tourist visa for 2 weeks and when she tried to reenter in the USA, they took her visa away and sent her back to Peru where she is from. Now I'm a USA citizen, 35 years old, and I'm thinking in filing the I-130 to ask her as a permanent resident. Will she have a chance to become a permanent resident or Will they deny it?
Thanks very much in advance.

Yes, she has a chance if she overstayed by 2 weeks only.

Dear Inquirer:
An overstay of only two weeks alone would not create any bar to your mother's readmission to the US as an immigrant. We must file a petition for her here in the US and following approval, apply for her immigrant visa through the US Embassy in Lima.
I recommend that you email us ay [email protected] or visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com if you would like to schedule an appointment for a confidential consultation to discuss this matter further.
