Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
Can a native american adopt a cuban (u.s. resident) that has been convicted of drug trafficking charges. If so, can that adoption make the adopted person exempt from deportation back to Cuba?

A US citizen can adopt a foreign citizen. However, if he is an adult, it will NOT help to avoid deportation.
