Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida
obtaining citizenship with an expired visa
My boyfriend came on a visa expecting to gain citizenship when he was a minor through his father's marriage to a US citizen. The marriage fell through and he has since been here with an expired visa. What actions could he take to obtain citizenship other than marriage?

Re: obtaining citizenship with an expired visa
Outside of marriage to a US citizen, there may be options available to him for employment sponsorship, but this would largely depend on the facts- for example, did his step-mother actually file any documents on his behalf, how old is he, what is his academic/professional background, etc.
